Mark Sahm began painting in 1994, always working in acrylics and focusing on abstract subject matter. In 2007, he began experimenting with layered canvases, LED lights and die-cutting shapes into his painted canvases, resulting in a solo gallery show in 2010. The experimentation with die-cuts led him into his work with Optographs, which is now his primary creative focus.
