					<description>My sister just had surgery to repair a herniated disc in that same area (I think those vertebrae names sound familiar, anyway).  She still has some bulging discs but they are hoping PT will help recover some of that.  The surgery was nowhere near as intensive as yours, but I've decided I'm not having back surgery as a result of your collective stories.

Congrats on being freed from the brace, belatedly.</description>
