Blogimus Sabbaticalus

There shall be 57 days of silence. At least from a Blogimus standpoint.

From October 4 until December 1, I will not be blogging here or updating my websites—except for a book review for BC that I am already committed to do, or unless it is a really important MJ update. This sabbatical from all online endeavors is self-inflicted and absolutely necessary, because of two very important things: (1) I am getting married within the next 40 days, and have a million things to do and help plan; and (2) All of that on top of my creative projects has left me extremely disorganized in life as of late.

After I finished Magic Junk Radio 2, my head was spinning, and both desks were overflowing with clutter. Tack on the day job being a little stressing over the past few months, and it seemed like everything was conspiring against me. With grassy knolls in every direction and guns ready to smoke, it only made sense to put the roof up on the convertible, Jackie.

In other words, I was long overdue for some re-prioritizing.

Of course, this is by no means permanent. 2005 has been great for me online, and I’ve accomplished a lot—and want to do so much more. I just need to step back, recharge my head, get my one ring to rule them all, and come back with a vengeance. The lesson I’ve learned here is to pay attention to the little voices of joints, hearts, stomachs, and brains—and don’t make yourself busier than you can handle. So, as Arnold’s catchphrase goes, “I’ll be back.”

Have a great Halloween and Thanksgiving.
See you in December with much to say and show.

Not quenched until the 2nd week? Don’t forget the honeymoon! And then the culture shock of trying to reacclimate ourselves back to reality. And then Turkey Day weekend… I’m getting tired just thinking of it and…. *clunk* zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Oh Stop… you know that as soon as we get back you will be itching to start up your projects. I can see Monday, 11/21/05 as a day of writing/blogging/GarageBanding for you. If you decide to be anti social… Turkey Weekend will be the same. Don’t worry, everything is going to work out.

I will break every bone in my body to swim across the ocean of the orange autumn leaves blowing around in a galaxy far far away for such an creative itch. :) While you’re probably right, maybe the cruise high will leave me itch-free. Only time will tell.

If your honeymoon cruise is anything like my anniversary cruise, you will not only lack a creative itch, but will have trouble remembering how to drive.

Relaxation can almost go too far. My brain relaxed by the end of the week-long cruise!
